Jason started in the EMS Field in 2006 working for Medix Ambulance in South Orange County, and joined the AmeriCare team in January of 2009. He started as an EMT, and began climbing the ranks until taking a promotion to Shift Supervisor for the then new Santa Monica Fire Contract, and responded to the first call after midnight when AmeriCare took over emergency transportation for the city. He used his years of 9-1-1 experience to train the 30 other EMTs in the division as they transitioned to running calls with the Santa Monica Fire Department. He worked full time as the “A Shift” Station Supervisor while completing Paramedic School, and then moved to the paramedic units once licensed and accredited. Jason worked in the field as a Paramedic until being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in May 2015. After a couple of surgeries, Jason bounced back to health and took an administrative role at AmeriCare as the Clinical and Education Services Manager. He now oversees all training and QA/QI, and carries out the role of the Paramedic Coordinator from the Los Angeles division headquarters in Carson, CA.
